About

Chosen Vessel Baptist Missions was started from the vision of Pastor Fred Flowers.  God gave him the desire to put together a missions ministry that would plant and build churches for the Glory of God.  He also had a burden to help missionaries get on the field faster and to assist them while they were there.  A year later Brother Joshua Flowers and his family took a trip to Guatemala and spent a month there with missionary friends.  It was during that time that Brother Joshua saw then need for this ministry.  When they arrived back to the states he and Pastor Flowers started working together to found Chosen Vessel Baptist Missions out of Souls Harbour Baptist Church in Roanoke, Al.

CVBM is a multi-faceted missions work.  We are local church based, scripturally sound and King James only.  CVBM is broken down into three areas of ministry.

I. Corinth Ministry (Church Planting)

                   Acts 18:1-3

Like the apostle Paul, who was a church planter and tent maker, we want to plant and build local Baptist churches. We will accomplish this by:

*Leading Teams To Build The Physical Church Building.

This eliminates that burden from missionaries and trained nationals on the field.  Having a church building to meet in is a great blessing and tool on the mission field.  Just think, what would your church be like without a place to meet together and and worship the Lord.

*Organizing Evangelistic Teams To Help Plant And Grow Churches.

It is our goal to plant local churches. An evangelistic team is a great way to jump start a new church plant or bring new life to an existing church.  Our greatest desire is to see churches planted people saved and lives changed for the glory of God.

*Raising Funds To Plant And Build Local New Testament Baptist Churches.

This eliminates the need for missionaries and nationals to spend the time raising the funds themselves. In many cases this will eliminate the newly planted church from falling apart while the missionary is back in the states raising the funds to build the building.

2. Achaia Ministry (The Harbour House)

                     ICor. 16:15-18

Like the house of Stephanas, we want to addict ourselves to the ministry of the saints in the areas of:

*Supplying A Place To Call Home While Missionary Finishes Deputation.

This will remove the burden of renting a house or paying a mortgage while on deputation, thus speeding up the deputation process.  We currently have five apartments here at CVBM as well as a laundry facility and a full kitchen.

*Furnishing Missionaries A Place To Land And Live When They Are Home On Furlough.

It is our desire to harbour the battle wearied missionary when they return back to the States to report to their supporting churches and to gain new support.

*Providing Missionaries A Place To Stay While Traveling In Our Area.

This will eliminate the cost of a hotel as they travel.

3.Create Ministry (Heading The Call)

                       Titus 1:5

Like Paul, who taught Titus the things of God and instructed him to teach others also; and Titus who was willing to serve God, it is our prayer that God will use this ministry in the areas of:

*Chosen Vessel Mission Board

We are striving to be part of the great commission by helping those who are called to serve on the mission field.

*To Give Young Preachers The Opportunity To Be Used On The Mission Field And To Be Equipped To Do So.

We want young preachers to have an opportunity to go and experience the mission field.  We also want to instruct and help train those who are called.

*To Provide Missions Trip Opportunities For Born Again Church Members In The States.

We believe that missions is the heart beat of the church.  We want to take as many people on these trips as we can because we believe it will energize the local churches here in the States for missions.  A missions trip will change your life forever.  Remember God wants to use you as a Chosen Vessel!
